Since 1885, five generations of the Steele family have been ranching in Sublette County. The sixth generation is currently growing up wild and free as the happiest ranch kids do.

 

E.P. Steele started his homestead and a sizable cattle ranch at the base of Fremont Butte, stretching from Boulder to the outskirts of Pinedale.

The Steele family bought the Boulder Store in the early 40’s from Harold Faler.

 

In 2020, the fifth generation of Steele’s started putting their own grass-fed, grain-finished, Sublette County-born and raised beef on the menu of the Boulder Pub & Grill.
